Bobby Love & Sugar Sweet
zariaentertainment.com

Bobby Love and Sugar Sweet play original music and covers. The original music is a combination of Pop, Funk, Rock and a little Reggae and Ska. The covers we play are from 50’s-current Top 40.

Clam Idiots were born on a cocktail napkin at a dive bar in Moss Landing, California in September of 2007. Founding members Kevin Dean Gander and Alexander Ramirez decided that karaoke wasn’t fulfilling their musical dreams and began brainstorming band names and song titles that fit their sophomoric, immature, comedic nature. Alex suggested the name Chlamydia, which Kevin quickly adapted to Clam Idiots, and the band was up and running.

Alex and Kevin sought out like minded morons that would appreciate and inspire the same sort of goofiness that they loved. They found Brian Caudillo, Joseph Peoples, and Ricardo Mendoza to round out their insanity.

The feud between Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton inspired Clam Idiots first song, “My Crotch Is On Fire,” after Paris nicknamed Lindsay, “Fire-Crotch.” Years later, the single was included on Best Of Nitro Circus: Volume 8 DVD.

Clam Idiots first live show was on New Years Eve, December 31st 2007 at the world renown Clamphitheatre. Fermin Lopez was the first promoter to book the band at the now demolished Chihuahua’s Bar and Grill. Tony and Pamela Avery were Clam Idiot’s first paid gig at Tony’s Super Pizzaria. There were many early free shows at such landmarks as Rod Hall, The Morales Palace, and Hollywood Hills, before finally getting a permanent residency at Moss Landing Inn, thanks to bartenders extraordinaire Jackie and Diana.

After a year and a half, Ricardo left the band to pursue bull riding. Alex left active duty in Clam Idiots in October of 2010 to be a father, later replaced by current drummer Ian McLaughlin. Ian was a prodigy of Rock Band, with very little drumming experience. But Ian was the only fan to have attended every single Clam Idiots show up to that point, so it seemed fair to give him a shot. Six months later, Ian was Clam Idiots’ permanent drummer.

Alfonso Magallon joined the band on April 4, 2014, filling in for Joseph Peoples on bass at East Village, opening for Los Angeles punk band The Henchmen.

Clam Idiots pride themselves on being the BEST drunk rock band in the world. We’re about fun, laughter, stupidity, and beer. We play a mix of popular covers and our own brand of Clamtastic rock n roll and cheesy listening.

Jake Nielsen's Triple Threat
jntriplethreat.com/home

Jake Nielsen is the hottest new act in the blues scene! He’s been making his way all through Northern and Southern California, and not stopping there! He’s making lasting impressions on everyone that watches his talent, and inspiring people with his passion!

Born on march 29 1985. Jake was born with cerebral palsy, limiting the use of his legs. He was always determined to never let that bring him down. So he lived a very active life as a young kid and participated in every sport he could. He played wheelchair basketball, and was the inspiration to start a baseball league for children with special needs.
Jake comes from a family that has a long line of professional cowboys. He grew up in the rodeo scene and wanted to ride calves at a very young age. He was the only cowboy that couldn’t walk and was an instant hit. Soon he was sponsored to ride all over the west coast and made a lot of buzz in the media. There were newspaper articles and magazine write ups on him, he gained a lot of respect and inspired a lot of people at a very young age. He did this until he was 13 years old.
Sometime during his adolescence he discovered music. He was 15 when he first started playing guitar, and caught on very quickly. He was 17 when he formed his first reggae/rock band FUBAR. Together this band accomplished a lot. They played in many different festivals, and opened up for some many great bands like Passafire, Ballyhoo, Opio, Isreal Vibrations, Mike Pinto, Rebelution and many more. They won the Monterey Battle of the Bands in 2007 and a Swagg Award for best reggae album in 2010.
At some point though Jake felt the calling to play some blues. He started collaborating and touring with Jr. Boogie, a well known harmonica player in the Bay Area and Chris Weinress, a talented bass player with many years of experience. Together they played all over Northern California and opened for such bands as Elvin Bishop, Roy Rogers and Travis Warren of Blind Melon. This is where Jake felt his true calling and started playing at pro jams and working with blues musicians all over the area. This is how he met the very talented Derrick Martin, a drummer that had been working with the legendary Little Richard for the past 15 years and was looking for some new act to add to his agenda.
That was when Jake, Chris and Derrick came together to form Jake Nielsen’s Triple Threat. They were instant magic. Everyone that saw them play were blown away by the performance they put on. Packed with so much energy and funk that you have to get out of your seat and dance! Together these guys have conquered it all! Headlining in many festivals all over California, and already making their international debut in Canada, they also have their first album self titled Jake Nielsen’s Triple Threat available on Itunes. Already working on album #2. And you can hear some of their songs in movies and commercials.
Jake has been featured on the radio, tv shows, newspapers and magazine articles for his music, but also for being an inspiration to people who see him. He collaborates with other artists and has made an album called Raps N Blues with well known rapper Ghambit, and still goes back to his reggae roots now and then. But either way he does it Jake Nielsen is making a name for himself in the music industry, guaranteed you will hear more from him!

Peter Jong Chang of Emerge

Peter Jong Chang of Emerge (instrumental rock/fusion) – returns to Northern California

Fusion that Rocks! After this Spring’s release of Emerge/Sunset Coast, Deep Orchid/As Long As You’re Around, and the reissue of Emerge (self titled), on CD, Peter Jong Chang returns to Northern California for solo live perforances with Maria Borelli (Deep Orchid)

Emerge – all original fusion and instrumental rock of styles with elements of rock, jazz, funk, soul, and reggae blended together seamlessly. Deep Orchid – Soulful Power Funk-Rock featuring Maria Borrelli on Vocals and Peter Jong Chang all other instruments.

The re-emergence of Emerge: the original SF fusion power trio’s music is back, this time as a solo project. The original trio Emerge (guitarist and band leader Peter Jong Chang, bassist Dave Mendoza, and drummer Atma Anur) were no strangers to music, having played together for years in San Francisco, and prior to that each member had his own long history. Together though, they found a combination that became far more than the sum of its parts – a sound, heady and powerful, and almost impossible to resist. Elements of rock, jazz, funk, soul, and reggae blend together seamlessly.

“Sunset Coast,” is the latest album, a complete solo effort by original band leader and producer, Peter Jong Chang. Largely guitar-driven, “Sunset Coast” showcases Peter’s talents perfectly. The sound evokes the California coastline that he still considers his homeland, while also bringing in occasional elements of the Southwest, where he currently resides part of the year. It’s like instrumental surf-rock with a little jet fuel thrown into the mix, and suggests the definition of a new category – Hard Surf. “Sunset Coast” proves that dynamic creativity can produce amazing music, and crafting amazing music is something Emerge does perfectly.

The Deep Orchid founding duo, Maria Borrelli (vocals) and Peter Jong Chang (all instruments) each came from a long musical history working with various musical styles, bands, and genres throughout the years. After their 1st meeting and writing collaboration in 2003 via Station of Dreams based in Oakland, CA, they new there was something special about the music being created. They soon began a musical journey creating an eclectic rock sound uniquely molded by the inclusion of amazing lyricists, rappers, and writers blending talents over various rhythms of reggae, jazz, rock, and blues. “As Long as You’re Around” is their 1st CD project showcasing the harvest of these musical seeds planted years ago, rooted in an enriched soil of talent and diversity. Peter Jong Chang’s amazing guitar leads and tones range from smooth and sultry to grungy and distorted and it’s the catalyst that drives that the Deep Orchid signature sound. From the Latin rhythms of “Hot Guitar”, the soothing soulful sounds of “Easy to Love You” and the heavy rock vibe of “Higher Need”, this album is anything but mundane and demands to be heard. The LPs Sunset Coast, As Long As You’re Around and Emerge, as well as other titles from Station of Dreams, will be available for convenient purchase at the venues.

The David M'ore Band
davidmore.net/

A mystical guitar man from a bygone era, David M’ore arrived to L.A in the early 90’s committed to alter the musical scene. Club goers and musicians begin to talk about the new kid with the virtuoso aggressive guitar style, raspy vocals, and his high energy fueled Blues-Rock tunes.

Now with his second solo album “ From The Other Side of The River ” David M’ore managed to take his guitar pyrotechnics to a different level of instrumental majesty. Performing on a custom made Strat carefully modified to his specifications, M’ore demonstrates his acclaimed six string technique on both originals and cover tunes. “I love to pay tribute to those who influenced me.” “But at the same time I like to be true to who I am,” says M’ore, whose influences include Hendrix, Blackmore, Satriani, J. Winter, Gary Moore, Albert King, and other guitar monsters.

From the beginning, traditional Blues and British Neoclassical Hard Rock played a very important role in the evolution of David M’ore style.

Born in Argentina, he picked up an old guitar that his godfather bought him for his eighth birthday and immediately began to explore vintage records. “The aggressive sound of the guitar drove me emotionally insane,” David says.” “I still listen to those old records from Johnny Winter”. That’s where it all began.

A born troubadour, Mr. M’ore moved frequently around the world as well as in the U.S.A before finally settling in Hollywood in 1990. After the separation of his band “Blind Hole” and refusing to accept the change of the grunge movement, he escaped to Sacramento in 1993 where he obtained a music award. Back then David shared the stage with local Blues players including the legendary Johnny Guitar Knox and Arbess Williams.

Today you can hear his chops in the San Francisco area with his new powerful trio offering an explosive blues riffs attack.

If you are looking for Passion, Blood, and Fire you must check this Hot Powerblues Trio!!!
